“Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.” – Albert Einstein
In my search about the potential of the human mind, I have studied the basics of quantum theory. I believe this quote by Einstein was meant to talk about quantum physics. Quantum physics is the study of the interactions between the smallest known particles – which are the building blocks for everything in our existence.
During the famous “Double Slit Experiment” it was discovered that the expectations of the human mind could influence how energy manifested as matter. Although scientists agree that this is happening on a sub-atomic level, they argue that there is no proof that it is happening on the larger level that we live our daily lives.
When I first learned about this experiment it shouted “the law of attraction” to me. I feel, this is scientific supporting evidence of how the mind affects or attracts energy to into our lives. In my book, Awaken Your Power, I argue that the human mind is capable of influencing energy both on a sub-atomic level and on a much larger scale.
My question is, “If we can influence the sub-atomic particles that make up the atoms that make up everything in our existence, then why can’t we influence the larger things in our world?” I believe we can, and I discuss this thoroughly in my book.
I believe that this is what Einstein’s quote, “Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted,” means. I feel he meant to say that just because you can’t measure how something is happening doesn’t mean it isn’t happening – we may simply not yet have the knowledge to understand how nature is working. On the other hand, his quote also means that not everything we currently know about science is necessarily accurate or important. I feel that he is saying that we should keep an open mind about everything.
So, what do you think about this? Do you think a person has the ability to influence what they attract into their life through their thoughts? Do you have any questions?
I welcome all input. Please share your thoughts in the comment section below.
