The Spiritual Effects of the Connecticut Shooting

Dali Quote

Last week most of us witnessed the Connecticut shooting coverage on the news. That horrific act has set the news channels and social media abuzz with stories of anger, sadness, hate, and gun controversy.

I was thinking about the impact of an event like this from a spiritual point of view.   With this being 2012, energy doors of evolution are now open for us to go through – if we possess the right vibrational frequency as a society.

I imagine that this next dimension will be much like the current one in many ways, but we will be more loving and caring for each other and focus on solutions that are win-win for all parties involved. Wouldn’t that be nice?  We have seen a lot of growth like that in the last 20-30 years but we still have a ways to go en masse.

It has been said that the vibration of the collective consciousness of all the people of Earth will decide whether we will evolve into this better reality or to stay fixed in this one, or worse.  That is why, in the period coming up to 12/21/12 and beyond, it is so vital for us to stay positive.  It’s like a pass or fail spiritual exam that the humanity is taking. If we possess enough of the appropriate feelings, we will pass and evolve.

Some spiritual teachers have said that dark forces are desperately trying to prevent our evolution up the dimensional ladder of life.  They are doing this by influencing spiritually weaker individuals to do terrible things that affect a large number of people in a negative way, thereby lowering our collective vibrational frequency.

We, as a people, can rectify this by not dwelling on what has been done.  Instead of focusing on the pain, misery, suffering, and anger, we can focus on extending compassion to those mourning and not dwell on the rest of the facts.  When we think of the negative parts of what happened we include that negativity into our own vibrational frequency, which also drags down our collective vibrational frequency.

In the case of the Connecticut shooting, I can’t even imagine how I would feel if one of my children were a victim of this crime.  We can and should give great empathy and understanding to those families that were directly affected by this senseless act.

Those who feel spiritually strong enough may even choose to send compassion and forgiveness to the man who committed this crime.  I know most will say that he does not deserve a ounce of pity or compassion and that he deserves every bit of hell and more.

In my spiritual journey I have learned not to judge others. We never know what their literal or figurative inner demons may instruct them to do.

I believe in karma, which is the universal balancer in this life and beyond.  Justice and balance will eventually be restored and we don’t have to do anything to make that happen. This means it is not our responsibility. The way the universe works, each person ends up being judged by their own actions. Still, I understand that does not bring back the children that were taken from this life.  This is why Gandhi said only the strong can forgive.

So in summary, we live in a duality world where we have both good and bad.  As much as possible, we should focus on thinking, feeling, saying and doing things that are positive so that we can raise our planetary vibration and thus create a better future for ourselves.  A great way to do that is to appreciate the children you do have with you right now and cherish them now more than ever.

Currently a spiritual door of opportunity is open, waiting for humanity (and the Earth) to go through to a better place.  To pass through this door, all we need to do is find a way to be positive about life. When negative things happen, we can do our part by sending compassion and then not focusing on what happened because when we play it over and over again in our head it lowers our own vibrational frequency.  When we focus on the negative things we are letting the negative forces win.  Don’t let them win.  Be strong and be positive.

Love and compassion to you.

One Response to The Spiritual Effects of the Connecticut Shooting

Your article was well-written, in the Light of love and compassion. It is important to remain in the Light of unconditional Love because this is the only weapon that can destroy and consume all evil in the world. Yes, we need to send Light of peace and love to the children who are now on the other side, to their bereaved families and also to the one who executed the crime because he was simply a pawn of the dark forces that used him to carry out their horrific plan. As the time nears for the planet to ascend into 5d, the evil will intensify their efforts to wreak havoc in the world. We must not fear but remain centred in the Light. Keep sending the healing energy to the planet and all life because these are the difficult times for the Mother Earth as well as for all the inhabitants of the planet. You have conveyed the message of love and forgiveness well, people need to understand the power of unconditional love and forgiveness.
    Love and Light,
    Vera.
