Many people these days celebrate Easter with chocolate bunnies and candy, but the real meaning is a much deeper lesson of love and everlasting life taught by the great master Jesus (Sananda).
The following is my interpretation of the true meaning of Easter.
It is well known, that according to the bible, Jesus was crucified on the cross and then three days later rose from the dead.
What is not clear is why these events happened? Some have argued, that if Jesus was really the Son of God then why didn’t he use his powers to save himself?
I believe Jesus allow this to happen for two very important reasons. Jesus, came into emodiment to teach a message of love and everlasting life. In order for his message to last the test of time, he needed to show us the way with an example.
Reason #1 is to show that we as human beings have free will. Free will implies that we get to make right or wrong choices without any interference from God, even if that means sacrificing the Savior who was sent here to help us. ( The subject of Karma is the topic for another post. )
Reason #2 is proof of everlasting life. When Jesus allowed himself to be crucified and then rose from the dead three days later, he became a permanent example that there is life after death.
The perfection of this message is often overlooked by the masses today. Instead we are often taught that Jesus died for our sins, whatever that means? No, I believe Jesus died to show us the path to everlasting life.
Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection are a series of examples and lessons to follow and understand.
His messages of love, compassion, understanding and connecting to God and all his creations are the blueprint for happiness and resolution here on Earth, and we as human beings have the free will to decide if we want to follow this example or not.
